My boyfriend's aunt and uncle invited me over for a surprise birthday party, and made some amazing food.

There was sausages and sauerkraut, along with many other beautiful dishes… and BREAD. Who doesn't love bread?

This bread wasn't your average. You could tell it was homemade and it was sturdy yet soft, and went great with the homemade soup I brought.

It's actually a recipe from my boyfriend's cousin, Andy. This is Andy Geiger's Quick White Bread (I am not sure if I have complete permission to publish this recipe from him so if you see him, don't say anything).

You'll find yourself making this on a regular basis.

All you will need is 1 pkg of yeast, 1-1/2 cups warm water, 3 cups flour, 4 tablespoons sugar, and 1 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir all of them slowly together (I like to start with my dry and then slowly add in my wet ingredients until it forms a ball).

Then let it rise for an hour or so. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes in a sprayed loaf pan and you have some quick bread!

I feel that this bread could be made for a weeknight meal but is also so impressive that you could make it for holidays or special occasions! Who doesn't love saying you made your own bread? I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! XO
