FALLSBURG - On Friday December 16, 2022, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person who had been stabbed. The victim initially sought treatment at Urgent Care on the Concord Rd. in Monticello, but was taken by Mobile Medic Ambulance to Garnet Hospital in Harris. The victim was then transferred to Garnet Orange Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery for a stab wound to the abdomen and is listed in stable condition. Sheriff’s Deputies determined that the attack had occurred at a residence on State Route 42 in South Fallsburg and that the assailant was the victim’s grandson. A bulletin was put out for police to be on the lookout for Supreme Faison, age 24 of Fallsburg. At about 4:30 AM the next morning, the Fallsburg Police advised Deputies that the suspect was spotted at an apartment complex on Laurel Ave. in South Fallsburg. A Sheriff’s patrol responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody.

Supreme Faison has been charged with the Felony of Assault First Degree, and the Misdemeanors of Criminal Possession of a Weapon as well as Menacing. He was arraigned before Fallsburg Town Judge Jaime Kaminski and committed to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. The defendant is due back in court on December 21, 2022 at 5:30 PM. Sheriff Mike Schiff said that the investigation is continuing and that additional charges may be possible.
