CALLICOON — A smoke condition was reported at the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library in Callicoon at noon on Monday, August 11. 

Callicoon Fire Department, who received a call at 12:02 pm, was first on the scene, followed by Upper Delaware Ambulance Corps and Hortonville  Fire Company. Callicoon Fire Chief William Maxwell said a light fixture ballast on the library’s second floor had created the smoke condition. No injuries were reported and Maxwell confirmed that everything was under control as of 12:45 pm.
