The 96th Annual Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters Assn. Parade will march down Broadway, Monticello on Saturday, September 6 at 2 p.m. sharp, going from the Sullivan County Government Center to the Monticello Firehouse on Richardson Ave. Hosted by the Monticello Fire Dept. – which is also celebrating its 150th Anniversary – the parade will feature fire departments and emergency responders from across Sullivan County. Following the parade there will be many activities at the Monticello Firehouse and Somerville Field, including a band competition, music, food and kid’s activities. The MacBoston 18 Firetruck will also be on display, honoring all firefighters who have passed in the line of duty. Fireworks will be at dusk. Several street closures and detours will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
