NARROWSBURG — Come join the Repair Café movement on March 18 from 11-3 at the Tusten Town Hall. 210 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, under the Tusten Theater.

We are there to help get your favorite items repaired while bringing our community together. And it’s FREE! (Donations gratefully accepted) Limit of two items per person, please! Should you need a particular part, please bring it (ie: zipper, 3-way lamp fixture, special lamp pull, the wool that might have come with your favorite sweater).

Listed below are those items for which we have repair coaches this month. But we’re always looking for more! Can you sharpen knives? Fix ceramics? Mend shoes? Have an expertise that would help others get something repaired? We would love to have you!

Our team of coaches for March 18 (so far)

• Things Wooden – from chairs to your favorite wooden container!

• Mechanical Items – why isn’t my vacuum picking up? 

• Lamps / Electrical – worn cords? Switch won’t work?

• Small Appliances – love that old toaster but can’t get it to pop?

• Jewelry – from re-stringing beads to fixing your earrings!!

• Sewing – hand or machine

• Knitting and Crocheting – your favorite sweater have a hole? Scarf unraveling?

• Window Screening - please bring the screen, the screening and the spline.

• Plant & Garden Advice – bring your plant or ask advice on a variety of horticulture topics!

Sometimes what you hope will get fixed becomes a consultation, but we are sure you will enjoy your interactions with our team of volunteers. We also encourage you to sit and learn with our fixers! It may help you in the future.

If you can carry it in, we’ll do our best to bring it back to life! 

Please, no microwaves, nothing gas powered or labeled “smart.”
