CALLICOON – The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists of a temporary full closure of the Callicoon Bridge (Interstate Bridge #7) for a planned concrete installation. The bridge, which spans the Delaware River between Bridge Street in the hamlet of Callicoon, and State Route 1016 in Damascus Township, Pennsylvania is scheduled to close on Tuesday, June 30, starting at approximately 7 a.m. This closure may last up to 48 hours.

This is one of several temporary full closures planned for the 2026 construction season to continue the work of installing concrete on newly constructed bridge spans as part of a $17.8 million project scheduled for completion this fall.

Motorists, including commercial and freight traffic, should follow detours and messaging displayed on NYSDOT variable message signs. Pedestrian and bicycle access will remain open during the closure.
