Healthiest Fire Department Challenge
The Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge is proving that wellness is a team sport. In the lead is Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department with 187 points; Jeffersonville reclaimed second place this week, with Kauneonga Lake close behind.
Departments celebrated Great Outdoors Month by getting outside, taking hikes at the Parksville Rail Trail and Lake Superior, going on group walks before drill, and even tackling a very muddy 5K.
White Lake firefighters (featured) took on the Spartan Race at Bethel Woods. The team completed the 5K Sprint, working together to conquer 20 obstacles that tested their strength, endurance, and mental resilience. Way to go, Spartans!
Keep following along to see who will be the winners of the 2026 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge!
