To the editor:
I have had the pleasure of meeting Lou Ingrassia and his wife, and discussing some of the issues that are important to me and my family. They are likely the same issues of importance to many families in our Sullivan and Orange County areas.
Lou clearly understands the struggles we share, and he is passionate about making sure our needs and ideas are given a voice in Albany.
As a husband and father, he is keenly supportive of Women’s Rights, Parents Rights, and preserving the Rights of Citizens for citizens.
Lou has a plan for helping resolve our lack of physical and mental healthcare access across our area, for improving and supporting our school systems (a topic discussed daily around his dinner table with a family full of educators), and for reigning in wreckless Democratic spending of our tax dollars to use that money more wisely and in ways that will actually benefit our local communities.
He has the knowledge to help with expanding our public transportation, and the experience to not just push for improved infrastructure but to get the jobs done properly and with financial responsibility.
He has more than a working knowledge of our municipal water and sewer systems, their capabilities, and their challenges as our area begins to see more and more rapid development.
Throughout Lou’s career in public service, having served on and answered to numerous boards, including Water and Sewer, Fire Commissioner, and Honor Flight, he has the experience needed to work with people from any background and political affiliation to negotiate terms, reach a goal, and get a job done.
He actively honors and supports all Veterans, Law Enforcement, and First Responders in our area and will fight to get them more of what they need from Albany.
Again, as a firm supporter of Women’s Rights, Parental Rights, and Citizens Voting Rights, Lou stands in strong opposition to Proposition One. That is because our New York State Constitution has protected a Woman’s Right to Choose since 1970, which is three years before the original Roe v. Wade decision by the way, and as a father of an adult daughter, Lou understands the importance of leaving that section of our Constitution untouched.
While he is oh so familiar with the long list of concerns WE as constituents would want to see him begin working on as he represents us in Albany, Lou still takes the time to listen when someone speaks to him. He wants to hear our ideas, our struggles, our needs, our injustices, our thoughts on how to better resolve them. He wants to help!
Lou and his family love our area. He cares about the people here and their quality of life. Join me in giving Lou Ingrassia Jr. your vote and he will give us all his absolute, all out, 100 percent and then some.
