Congratulations to our Jeffersonville Protection Hose Company No. 1 for an outstanding job at the 94th Annual SCVFA Parade in Roscoe last Saturday! They won first place for Best Appearing Large Regulation Company and achieved second place in the Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge! They ate healthy and walked many miles to earn that reward, receiving a check for ten thousand dollars for their efforts! Congratulations to the other Fire Departments that received awards too. All our volunteer Fire Departments and EMS agencies are so important to all of us, please support them!

The bees seem to be swarming – several of my friends have found them in trees at their homes! The beekeepers listed below have indicated that they provide bee removal services. The following contact information is provided as a public service and is not an endorsement of any of the beekeepers listed. The NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM) does not license, or issue permits to remove honey bees. In addition, AGM does not have any information regarding a beekeeper’s qualifications or training to remove honey bees. https://agriculture.ny.gov/swarm-catcher-list

I hope to see everyone at the Jeff Jamboree Saturday! The largest one ever with 60+ vendors and lots of activities throughout the town including a free ride with Butch and his beautiful team of draft horses! Watch Jim Hughson’s Annual Tractor Parade following a delicious breakfast at the First Presbyterian Church! After the parade participate in a Watermelon Eating Contest at the Catskill Outdoorsman, shop, meet JEMS Donald duck, get your face painted, take a picture, and participate in the Annual Duck Race too! All the time listening and enjoying the beautiful live music featuring “Little Sparrow”. What a great fun-filled family day!
