JP Graham and the Ancient Order of Hibernians would like to thank everyone that attended the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Jeffersonville! Congratulations to Grand Marshall Peter J. Cummings and thank you to those that participated in the amazing day with bagpipes, talented dancers, live animals, and floats along with lots of fire/emergency apparatus and more. What a great day!

On Saturday, the 22nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. the Lakeview Pizzeria (located at 23 Crestwood Rd., Lake Huntington) is hosting music by “the windy mule” with all proceeds and donations given to “Ride 2 Survive Sullivan County”. Please come out, bring your friends, and enjoy the music while you help this amazing group to help others in need!

Come out on Sunday, March 23rd from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and support the Youngsville Fire Department and their Pancake Breakfast! Enjoy delicious pancakes, eggs, and local maple syrup. Adults are $12, Children 6-12 are $7 and under 5 are free. Bring your family and/or friends and  show your volunteers you care.

The Diehl Homestead Farm (located at 93 Diehl Rd, Callicoon) has a two-day event! Their Maple Open House is March 22nd or 23rd  from noon to 5 p.m. each day.  Come to see maple sugaring at its best and enjoy some fresh syrup and pancakes while you are there! Free event open to the public. Be sure to dress warm, it is indoor and outdoor and it is a farm.  FMI: 845-796-8867.

If you like breakfast or lunch and want to eat out instead of making something at home  take time and check out the new place in North Branch called “Sunny Side Up” that took over the Rease’s Cup Café. Great food and welcoming atmosphere too!

Barbara’s Bunch is heading to the Villa Roma (located at 356 Villa Roma Road, Callicoon) for some fantastic musical tributes! First on May 5th is a Villa Roma Lunch and a “Neil Diamond Tribute”. Cost is $70 per person and includes coffee and cake at 10 a.m., lunch at noon and the show at 2 p.m. Menu choices: Roast Pork, Chicken Parmigiana or Flounder Francese.  Please reserve by: April 22nd. John Hauschild, Sullivan County’s fire commissioner announced a burn ban will go in to effect March 16th through May 14th. He stated he already worked with FEMA to get more training for the county firefighters and  asks everyone to please adhere to the ban so you do not put our volunteers lives at risk.

This Spring support wildlife and plant a single sunflower! It can support dozens of bee species, provide seeds for the birds, and attract butterflies all season long!
