 Thank you to everyone that came out to support the Jeffersonville Fire Departments Chicken BBQ last Sunday! The chicken was delicious and the rest of the dinner was tasty too!

The Western Sullivan Public Library 2025-2026 budget vote and Trustee election will be held on Wednesday, April 23  from 2 to 8pm. at each of the library branches: Delaware Free Branch, 45 Lower Main Street, Callicoon, Jeffersonville Branch, 19 Center Street, Jeffersonville, and the Tusten-Cochecton Branch, 198 Bridge Street, Narrowsburg. In addition to the tax appropriation, voters will be asked to elect two Library Trustees to fill the five-year terms commencing on July 1. An informational budget meeting will be held Monday, April 14 at  5pm. at the Delaware Free Branch.  Visit the library’s website WSPLonline.org beginning March 21st for the library’s Annual Report to the Community and a copy of the proposed budget.

Also, the library is looking for teen volunteers to support library programs. Activities would include helping with after-school activities, peer tutoring, summer reading and book repair. If interested, please contact WSPL.childrens@gmail.com.

4-H news from the Cornell Cooperative Extension: The 4-H program is seeking donations of buttons and small, easily transported games for kids (used or new). Please contact Barbara at bjm292@cornell.edu if you have items to donate.

Come to the Easter Egg Hunt at the United Reformed Church of Youngsville (located at 3990 State 52, Youngsville) on Saturday, April 12 at 1pm. There will be plenty of Easter eggs hidden by a sly little bunny, for the children to find! Prizes and refreshments! 

The Youngsville Fire Departments Auxiliary is having their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at 1pm. sharp at the Youngsville Firehouse! For Preschool kids through 6th Grade with prizes for most eggs and special eggs too. Refreshments for everyone – please bring a bag or basket. 

Easter will be here soon and a gentle reminder….Live rabbits are a ten-year commitment, or so, and are not disposable, they are cute, lovable animals. Please do not purchase a live rabbit for your child unless you are willing to make a commitment. Buy a chocolate or stuffed plush bunny instead. 

Enjoy the Spring weather! The grass is starting to turn green and the trees are beginning to bud. Love the peepers at night too!
