Join Carla Dworetsky at “The Art Cottage” (located at 1760 Shandelee Road, Youngsville) on May 9 for a Paint and Sip from 6-9pm. Paint your own Spring bottle with lights inside to light up this beautiful decoration for $40 per person. I have several of these painted bottles that I purchased from Carla over the years and when they are lit at night in a window or on a table or wherever you want to decorate, they are gorgeous! Of course, it depends on how well you paint to make yours special! Bring your own beverage choice and light snacks will be provided. Call to register: 845-807-2786 or 845-482-4588. No perfumes please, Carla is allergic.
Hummingbirds are back! Get your feeders out and make your own nectar – one part sugar to four parts waters. Bring to a boil and cool down in a mason glass jar. If you are not on your own water, buy spring water. The hummers will smell the chemicals in town water and will not use your feeder. I need to plant some flowers when the full moon is over in May to attract them too!
