Thank you to the Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit for patrolling our Main Street last week! They took time to visit and let me take pictures of them and their magnificent animals. I learned that they take their dog home each day, working and training them which I think must be very rewarding. Thank you for patrolling not only our town, but the other places you patrol too. Please be careful and be safe. (I posted pictures on my Facebook page).

Remember, warmer weather is coming, soon I hope, and warmer temperatures increase the danger for pets left in vehicles. After 10 minutes if it is 70 outside it is 90 in your car, 85 outside and it is 102 in your car and if it is 90 outside, it is 109 in your car. Please leave your best friend at home if you must make stops.

I hope all the moms have a Happy Mother’s Day!
