Alyssa Adams is busy placing some amazing photographs throughout Main Street Jeff for the 2026 Jeff Foto Fest taking place October 1–18. Town is being transformed!

Today I saw several gates between the businesses that have a photograph on them! Also, a great one at the Peck’s Market! Thank you to Alyssa Adams for making our town look so good, truly making Jeffersonville an open -air gallery! The festival brings together professional photographers, fine-art photographers, local artists, students and photographers connected to the Eddie Adams Workshop, which has been part of the Jeffersonville community for decades. The festival is supported in part by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA).

A Blood Drive is being held on Saturday, October 24 in Memory of Audra Spath from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hankins Fremont Center Fire Department (located at 20 Newman Hill Rd, Hankins, NY). Audra Spath was a well-known and well-loved member of the Hankins-Fremont Community as well as a teacher for 30 plus years and a very good friend of mine. Audra passed away from a pulmonary embolism leaving her husband and twin daughters with no warning. Please consider honoring her memory by giving to others in need. Call 1-800 RED CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org to make your appointment.

The White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church is having a Beef Stew Dinner on Sunday, October 25 at the White Sulphur Springs Firehouse from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Adults & All Takeouts will be $16, Children 5-12 is $7, and Children under 5 will be free. Please come out and enjoy a delicious dinner, supporting the White Sulphur Springs UMC!

Save the Date: The JEMS group is having Trick ‘r Treat again this year in The Backyard Park (located at 21 Lovett Lane) on Saturday, October 31 beginning at 4 p.m. Come out and join them for a wicked and fun time with DJ Jim and lots of trunks with treats. Take some selfies with the other ghosts & goblins and enjoy some fresh popped popcorn, hot dogs, and more at the Concession stand where everything is only $1! When you are ready, get a free hayride down to the Hughson Park for more fun!

There are plenty of ways to make your yard spooky for Halloween without using faux webbing (like spider webs) to decorate. It’s strong enough to snare owls, chipmunks, birds and other small animals, possibly killing them if not hurting them. If you want to use fake spider webs, please keep them indoors.

The Sullivan County Bureau of Fire wants to remind you to clean your chimney now to keep you and your family safe this heating season!

Please let me know if you have any news to share!
