The Western Sullivan Public Library announces that “Knitwitz” has gone virtual. They have been meeting at the Jeffersonville Branch since 2011 and a global pandemic is not going to prevent them from getting together.

They are resuming this month meeting on the first and third Tuesday of the month, virtually via zoom, at 6:30 p.m. Join them by visiting their websites calendar at wsplonline.org and register with your email address to receive the Zoom link!

The library is also offering a “Virtual Craft Lovers” with Raina Bowers. Learn to make cord wine coasters and clothespin napkin holders this month. Raina will post tutorials on Friday, March 12th and 26th at 4 p.m. on the library's Facebook and Instagram pages and their YouTube channel. For more information visit their website or call (845)887-4040.

The Apple Pond Farm & Renewable Energy Education Center is organizing a sheep shearing the week of April 5th, and they are inviting local flocks to join them. This is a perfect opportunity for families with small flocks or 4-H projects to connect to these services. To get on the interest list and get more information call Sonia at 845-482-4764.

Forthright Cyder & Mead (located at 4052 State Route 52, Youngsville, NY) is open with Winter Hours: Monday, Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. They are a nano-cydery with big dreams and big ideas and their specialty is Cyser, a hybrid of hard cider and mead (honey-wine). New York state has some of the best apples and honey in the world. They love bold, delicious flavors and exciting, locally sourced ingredients. Take a moment to go visit them! Lots more information on their website!
