MONTICELLO — The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark was supposed to open the first week of April, but that's been pushed back to April 19.
According to General Manager David Kohlasch, "To ensure all areas of the resort and waterpark are fully operational for guests and locals when we open the doors next month, we made the decision to shift the opening date to April 19. Our team of nearly 450 is eager; these extra days will allow us to be extra prepared to kick off the busy holiday weekend."
The indoor waterpark will be the largest in New York State and will feature a variety of slides, rides, a lazy river and cabanas. The hotel will have 324 suites, as well as restaurants and shopping.
Recently day passes went on sale. The Splash Pass gives full access to the waterpark for a cost of $59. There are discounts available for Sullivan County residents, active military, veterans, first responders and public safety, and seniors 65+.
Splash Passes must be purchased online. Go to www.thekartrite.com.
