Kevin J. Drummond, 61, passed away on February 7. Born on November 13, 1964, Kevin grew up in Huntington, New York. He went on to attend Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, where he earned a degree in Economics. In 1983, Kevin met Maureen Harrison, the love of his life, and they were married in 1986. Together, they built a devoted family and shared nearly four decades of partnership. Kevin began his professional career as an underwriter with Allstate, later working as a Principal Consultant for Price Waterhouse, and eventually becoming the owner of an Allstate Agency. He retired in 2017 and moved to a stone house built in 1920 in the Catskill Mountains, where he embraced an outdoor life of hiking, gardening, raising bees and chickens, and making maple syrup with friends.

A lifelong lover of history, Kevin delighted in immersing himself in other cultures and music. He was an avid soccer player, competing for Hobart during college and later playing with the Clarkstown Men’s Team beginning in 1987, as well as helping to coach the 87’s and 88’s teams. Kevin played soccer well into his 50’s, playing for Team Atlixco in the Latino United Soccer League in Haverstraw, the German International School in Westchester, Ramapo United Over 50’s, and the United Soccer League of New Jersey. Soccer was a family passion, and Kevin and his family traveled together to World Cup matches in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil. Kevin was a longtime member of the Westchester Winemakers Club and enjoyed sharing his appreciation of wine with friends. He also loved the outdoors and was an enthusiastic hiker and snowboarder.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen Harrison; his sons, Kevin Drummond and his wife, Nour Darwish, parents of daughter Leila, and Patrick Drummond and his wife, Federica Avantaggiato, parents of daughter Grace; and his parents, Frederick and Margaret Drummond. He was predeceased by his sister, Lorna Drummond. Kevin also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends around the world. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Kevin’s home health aide, Yvonne Crooks-Piccoli, who devotedly cared for him and remained by his side during his extended illness.

A memorial service and wake will be held in Kevin’s honor on Saturday, February 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Reilly’s Public House in Piermont, New York, officiated by Reverend Warren Brandt.
