MONTICELLO — The Monticello and Woodridge Kiwanis Clubs are continuing their tradition of joining together to bring smiles to the faces of our veterans as well as Office for the Aging Meals on Wheels participants. They recently met with reps from both agencies and presented them with beautifully hand-made Valentine greeting cards. This was a group effort consisting of Kiwanis members as well as Jill Weiner’s Liberty Middle School Students and the Aktion Club of Sullivan County, which is sponsored by both Kiwanis Clubs and comprised of members with disabilities from the Arc of Greater Hudson Valley, New Hope Community and The Center for Discovery.
This is in compliance with our clubs’ project mission, which is to give back to the community and reassure our residents, young and old, that we are thinking of them and strive to make their day a little more enjoyable.
For more information about Kiwanis activities, visit the Facebook pages for Monticello, NY Kiwanis Club or Kiwanis of Woodridge, NY.
