Happy Fourth of July! I hope you had a great weekend celebrating with family and friends as the official kickoff to Summer is here. Looking forward to a little more sun in the Sullivan Catskills but the wet weather is making my garden happy!

I am pleased to announce that there is a 4-H Youth Agriculture Product and Livestock Auction at the Grahamsville Little World’s Fair on Sunday, August 20th . Viewing starts at 12:00 and auction bidding begins at 1:00 PM. Support our local 4-H youth (my daughter included!) as they auction off the hard work they have been working on all season. From sweet corn, raw honey, herbs, pies, eggs, canned goods, flowers, livestock and so much more! 

Please come join us and bid on the items the Sullivan County 4H youth have to offer. All proceeds raised are split between the youth and the 4H auction scholarship fund. Call 845-292-6180 ext. 109 for more information.

There are many activities that are happening in and about our community in the upcoming weeks. Have a look at a few below:

Looking for something to do on the Fourth of July? Narrowsburg will be the place to be with their annual fun day at Fireman’s Field from 3:30 – 8 PM. Food, carnival games, rides, entertainment and more! Last year was a huge success. Sponsors are still wanted.

The Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church is having a Penny Social on Saturday, July 29th. Doors open at 10:30 and calling is at 12:30. Admission is $1 and includes a drink and dessert. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Please contact (570)-903-7079 with any questions.

Hector’s Inn 9th Annual Car Show on Saturday, July 29th at noon. All vehicles are welcome. If it has wheels, bring it on in! No judging of cars, no entry fee. Just people with the same interests as you... here to share their cars & stories. No car, no worries... stop by to check out the vehicles and vendors; listen to the music. Food will be available. Free admission.
