July 18 — We are in the midst of the best summer vacation and now if the weather would cooperate a little bit we would be thrilled! Hopefully, everyone is enjoying the sunshine when it decides to peek out!

A huge congratulations to Lt. Brian Heinle on completing and passing his National EMT Certification!  Cochecton just became a safer place with Brian’s exceptional skills and dedication as an EMT. His tireless efforts and commitment to serving the community are truly commendable. We can now rest assured knowing that Cochecton Ambulance has another great EMT ready to provide crucial medical assistance during emergencies. 

Thank you, Brian Heinle for your unwavering dedication to public safety and for going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our community. Your hard work and expertise will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. 

Don’t forget the Cochecton Youth Group Yard Sale on Saturday, July 29th, from 10-2pm at the Cochecton Town Hall. Vendors needed - Call/text Michelle for more info 570-419-8801.

The Fall Sports FAMILYID is open for all students wishing to play a fall sport in the Middle School/High School this year. Fall sports practice begins for JV/Varsity Football on August 19th, all other JV/Varsity sports begin on August 21st and Modified Sports beginning on September 7th. Please look to the school website under the Athletics tab for more information. www.swcsd.org

There are many activities that are happening in and about our community in the upcoming weeks. Have a look at a few below:

The Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church is having a Penny Social on Saturday, July 29th. Doors open at 10:30 and calling is at 12:30. Admission is $1 and includes a drink and dessert. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Please contact (570) 903-7079 with any questions.

Hector’s Inn 9th Annual Car Show on Saturday, July 29th at noon. All vehicles are welcome. If it has wheels, bring it on in! No judging of cars, no entry fee. Just people with the same interests as you... here to share their cars and stories. No car, no worries... stop by to check out the vehicles and vendors; listen to the music. Food will be available. Free admission.
