So hard to believe we are headed into August. This Summer has really been flying by! Looking forward to one more month with the kids home before school starts.

So hard to believe we are headed into August. This Summer has really been flying by! Looking forward to one more month with the kids home before school starts.

The Fall Sports FAMILYID is open for all students wishing to play a fall sport in the Middle School/High School this year. Fall sports practice begins for JV/Varsity Football on August 19th, all other JV/Varsity sports begin on August 21st and Modified Sports beginning on September 7th. Please look to the school website under the Athletics tab for more information. www.swcsd.org

The Cochecton Youth Commission has numerous upcoming events for our youth. Please see below for more information and contacts for each event:

Wayne County Fair-

Join the Cochecton Youth Commission for a night out at the Wayne County Fair in Honesdale, Pennsylvania on August 4th at 5pm. This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Sign ups for the fair will be on July 18th from 5:30-6:00 pm. (If you cannot make it to sign up for this event, please contact Michelle 24 hours prior to sign ups.)

(There will also be sign ups for this event at our Cochecton Youth Yard Sale on Saturday, July 29th from 10-2pm.)

Paint Night-

Join the CYC, on Friday, August 18, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm for a night of art and learning about the ecosystem of Lake Huntington, NY.

In this project, children will learn how to draw different elements of the lake, we will talk about the importance of each animal and mini ecosystem and how it contributes to the overall health of Lake Huntington. We will discuss ways we can help the lake become healthier as it currently falls into the impaired category.

Our Cochecton Youth will leave with a 9x12 completed piece of art, a watercolor cake set, a salt shaker and a marker to do additional projects at home.

This free event is for Cochecton Youth only.

Football Game-

Join the Cochecton Youth Commission for an NFL game (Giants Vs Jets) on October 29th at MetLife Stadium. This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Sign ups for this event will be on July 18 from 5:30-6:00pm at the lower level of the Cochecton Town Hall. If you plan to sign up for this event, please contact Sue via text 24 hours prior to sign ups for specific details.

Baseball Game-

Please keep an eye out for our Cochecton Youth trip to a New York Yankee Game this summer!! Details coming soon!!!
