 As February nears its end, we find ourselves at a crossroads between the remnants of winter and the promise of spring. The days grow longer and the anticipation of warmer days brings so much joy!

Have a look at a few events and activities in our community and locally: 

Lakeview Pizza and Bar in Lake Huntington, NY will be hosting their Annual After St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on Sunday March 17, starting at 4PM. Dine in / Take out will be available. For more info, place a take-out order or to book a reservation, please call (845) 932-8131. 

The Federation of Sportsman’s Club of Sullivan County will sponsor youth to attend DEC Summer camp at DeBruce. One-week camps, youths aged 11-13, Monday – Friday, starting the last week of June until the end of August. For more information, please visit www.dec.ny.gov for summer camp information and sign ups. For older youths aged 14-17 they can attend camp at Pack Forest. Please register by March 24. There will be a Penny Social at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church on Saturday April 27. Doors open at 11:30am, Calling begins at 12:30pm. Hot dogs and soda for sale. Many great prices and raffles, fun for all.

Save the date for the Cochecton Youth Commission upcoming event to The Kartrite Indoor Waterpark on Saturday, 4/20 at 11 am. Please see the signup date for this event is Tuesday, 3/5 from 5:30-6:00pm in the lower level of the Cochecton Town Hall. Sign-ups for this event will close promptly at the close of this sign up which is 6:00 pm on 3/5. (Sorry, no exceptions) For details about event please contact April 845-701-2530. The cost for adults is $55. Please bring exact cash to the sign-ups. As always, no cost for all Cochecton Youth. 

This program is funded by the County of Sullivan and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services through the Sullivan County Youth Bureau.

Learn to Swim - Everyone needs to be proficient in the water. The primary goal at Hudson Valley Swim® is to teach proper swimming techniques no matter the age of the student. Our swimming lesson program in Fallsburg, NY is for students of all ages and abilities starting as early as 6 months through adult. They maintain small class sizes to ensure the student gets the care and support needed in a fun and safe environment. Their swimming instructors are experienced and are trained to teach all levels, so children don’t have to change instructors as they advance through the levels.
