SULLIVAN COUNTY — Leecia Roberta Eve, a Partner with Ichor Strategies, has joined the Board of Directors of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, the electric and natural gas utility serving New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley region.

“We are pleased and fortunate to welcome Leecia to our board,” said Chair of the Board Margarita K. Dilley. “She offers important perspectives thanks to her considerable experience in both the public and private sectors together with a broad understanding of relevant national and local issues. We look forward to Leecia’s contributions in guiding Central Hudson to meet the service expectations of our customers and the demands of the evolving energy industry.”

Eve brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to Central Hudson. She currently manages legal and compliance matters while helping to drive client solutions as Partner with Ichor Strategies, a management consulting firm that is now the largest Black-owned professional services firm in the nation. Previous roles include positions with Verizon as both Vice President of Public Policy and Vice President of Government Affairs for the Tri-State region. Her extensive experience in government includes serving as Judiciary Counsel to then-Senator Joe Biden; Counsel and Homeland Security Advisor to then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton in the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks; General Counsel of Empire State Development; and Deputy Secretary for Economic Development for New York State under Governor Andrew Cuomo, where she oversaw 11 state agencies and billions in public-private capital investment. “Central Hudson’s board is focused on ensuring that the Company delivers exceptional, safe and reliable energy services, and adds maximum value for its customers as New York undergoes a significant change in how energy is generated, delivered and used,” Dilley said. “Leecia will provide valuable insights to help us accomplish those goals, and we look forward to working with her.”

A native of Buffalo, Eve resides in New York City. She earned an AB degree from Smith College, an MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a law degree from Harvard Law School. Other affiliations include Chair of the Board of Directors of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and board member of Educational Housing Services.
