Town of Wallkill
To the editor:
With Election Day rapidly approaching, we as Americans have a choice to make as we cast our ballots on or before November 5th. The decision this year is easy for me as we need desperate change in those who represent in Washington and Albany. The people who represent us in Albany or Washington DC no longer represent working class families. Failed policies of the left have left us open to dangerous streets, higher prices and schools being flooded with migrant children.
Are you becoming disenfranchised by the lack of representation at the state level in Albany? If so, we have a chance to bring common sense back to Albany in 2025 by voting for Lou Ingrassia for the 100th Assembly District. Lou is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines. I have had the pleasure of knowing Lou for over 20 years and have worked beside him for 15 years. As long as I’ve known him, he’s been working hard and fighting for other people.
Lou has spent his life on public service; he is the current Commissioner of Public Works for the Town of Wallkill. As a lifelong resident of the Town of Wallkill, he devoted life to making the lives of Town of Wallkill residents better. Raised on his family’s farm, he learned the value of hard work at an early age. Lou followed in his father’s footsteps when he first was hired as a laborer in the Town of Wallkill Department of Public Works and again as Commissioner of Public Works for the Town. He is also the past president of the Orange County Highway Superintendents Association and a board member of the Orange County Water Authority.
Lou has a background in emergency services; he has been a volunteer firefighter with Howells Fire Department for over 42 years. He served as Chief on two separate occasions and is currently a fire district commissioner. He also was a Deputy Fire Coordinator in Orange County and only left the position to serve as Chief of Howells for the second time. As the Co-Director of the Office of Emergency Management for the Town of Wallkill, Lou has been a valuable asset in this role with his many years in the fire service and in public service. He helped to lead the Town of Wallkill through the COVID pandemic.
He also has devoted countless hours to various nonprofits and civic groups in the Hudson Valley. Lou is the Chairman of the Hudson Valley Honor Flight and has helped raise thousands of dollars to bring veterans to Washington DC several times a year. He has supported behind the scenes both the Middletown and Wallkill American Legion posts with anything from their fundraising efforts to holiday gatherings. I’m sure you’ve seen Lou serving drinks or food at pancake breakfasts supporting the Elks Club or Kiwanis Club in Middletown, as he’s been volunteering at these events for years.
I know that Lou will do great things in Albany as I’ve worked alongside him now for many years. His work ethic, attention to detail and integrity will help bring New York State back to its glory days. He will represent the middle class families and work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers. If Albany’s inefficiencies have led you to question whether state government truly represents your family’s interests, Lou Ingrassia will provide effective leadership. With a proven track record of public service in the Town of Wallkill, Lou is poised to well represent the residents of the 100th Assembly District. Please join me in voting for Lou Ingrassia for the 100th Assembly District.
