TOWN OF TUSTEN NARROWSBURG WATER DISRICT LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution a summary of which is published herewith has been adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Tusten, Sullivan County, New York on the 22nd day of June, 2021, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of Tusten is not authorized to expend money, or the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty (20) days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.

BOND RESOLUTION DATED JUNE 22, 2021.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE TOWN OF TUSTEN, SULLIVAN COUNTY, NEW YORK IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7,500,000 PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WATER SYSTEM SERVING THE NARROWSBURG WATER DISTRICT AND DELEGATING THE POWER TO ISSUE BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF THE SALE OF SUCH BONDS TO THE TOWN SUPERVISOR.

Object or Purpose: certain improvements to the water system serving the Narrowsburg Water District, including replacement of the existing water storage tank with a new 250,000-gallon steel water storage tank, installation of a new booster pump station, well improvements, replacement of existing fire hydrants, water valves and water mains and installation of new automatic flushing stations and additional new fire hydrants, water valves and water mains, at an estimated maximum cost of $7,500,000.

Period of Probable Usefulness: forty (40) years.

Amount of Obligations to be Issued: not to exceed $7,500,000. Funding for said purpose is being sought through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation's water grant program under the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act. Other sources of funding may also be available and may be pursued, depending upon program requirements and project eligibility.

A complete copy of the bond resolution summarized above is available for public inspection by appointment with the Town Clerk.
