LIBERTY — After receiving the “Reading Opens The World” grant from the American Federation of Teachers, the Liberty Faculty Association (LFA) purchased over 900 books for the Liberty Elementary School.
Aiming at giving all students in grades Pre-K through Grade 4 more opportunities to read, a number of the books are written in other languages – with hopes of encouraging reading at home.
The books will begin distribution by the LFA at their booth at the Liberty Winter Carnival on February 22 in the Liberty High School Gymnasium.
