Congratulations to Liberty’s Adriana Ponce, pictured here with her parents for winning the 12/13 Girls section at the Regional Hoop Shoot held February 3 in Ellenville, NY. Representing Liberty Elks Lodge #1545, Adriana is now eligible to compete at the State Level in Camillus, NY in March. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free throw program for youth ages 8-13 and this year the Elks National Foundation has allocated $1.5 million to fund the program. Each year, the six Hoop Shoot National Champions will have their names listed alongside their picture in a digital exhibit in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
