Lindsay A. “Sonny” Cole, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his home. He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Conklin.

He was the son of the late Lindsay A. Cole and Ruth Rake Cole. He attended Damascus High School and then went to work at John Bosch Farms in Lookout and Curtis Nurseries. He then went to work at Cochecton Mills and the Callicoon Agway where he specialized in electrical work. Sonny also drove a truck for Narrowsburg Lumber Company.

He was a member of the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church and the Lookout Sportsmen’s Club. Sonny was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Michael Cole and his wife Michelle, Beach Lake, and his daughter Cindy Cole and significant other Joe Caloger,  Gorham, New Hampshire; three sisters: Linda Keesler, Donna Haber, Patricia Wintermute, and two brothers: Russell and Michael Cole; two granddaughters: Lindsay and Kiersten Nordenhold; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by a son, Timothy J. Cole, a sister, Shirley Lewis, and five brothers: James, William, Edward, John and Thomas Cole.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 8, 2023 in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, Honesdale with Virginia Bossley officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.

Interment will be in the Pine Mill Cemetery.
