Max Sawransky of Wurtsboro, a retired manager for ShopRite Supermarkets, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty. He was 96.

The son of the late Harry Sawransky and Sadie Plot Sawransky, he was born October 27, 1925 in the Bronx. 

Max was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his fiancé: Arlene Fisher of Wurtsboro; his two sons: David Sawransky and his wife Brenda of Middletown, and Richard Sawransky of Tulum, Mexico; four grandchildren: Dena Sawransky, Joshua Sawransky, Melissa Steele and Anne Marie Frasier; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Libby; son Gary, and two brothers, Sol and Larry.

Private burial was held at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg.
