Michael E. McKeon of Liberty, NY, a retired heavy equipment operator for the Town of Liberty and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY.  He was 74.

The son of the late James and Gertrude Braisted McKeon, he was born November 9, 1947 in Liberty, NY.

Michael had been a 50 year member of the JC Young Hose Company #1 Liberty, NY and a 50 year member of the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Eloise H. McKeon, at home; one daughter, Susan Hurt and her husband Tony of KY; one stepdaughter, Susan Noren; one granddaughter, Eden Noren; and three grandsons, Logan Noren, Jake Hurt and Alex Hurt; one sister-in-law, Ruth McKeon of Woodbourne, NY and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Kevin McKeon, James McKeon and Mark McKeon; and one step daughter, Joan Noren.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 3 to 5 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  The Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545 will conduct services at 5 PM followed by firematic services by the JC Young Hose Company #1.  A memorial service will follow; Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
