MONTICELLO — The Monticello Central School District has been honorably named a “Best Community for Music Education” by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for the 15th consecutive year! The designation shows a commitment by our Board of Education and Administration, coupled with the dedication of our highly qualified music teachers, to provide a deep and meaningful music education to all students of our district.
To qualify for the Best Communities designation, MCSD answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
The NAAM “Best Communities for Music Education” Award demonstrates Monticello’s continual and comprehensive dedication to the importance of music education across our district and throughout our community.
