MONTICELLO — Despite the rainy weather, track and field athletes from around Sullivan County and beyond gathered at Monticello High School on April 17 for the Jessica Fingers Invitational.

This year was a bit different, as team scores were not recorded, but individual performances were in the spotlight.

There were Track MVPs and Field MVPs for both the boys and the girls that competed in the invitational, with David Williams (Field MVP) and Eduardo Salinas (Track MVP) earning the honors for Monticello.

For the girls, Gracyn Halloran (Sullivan West) earned the Track MVP honor, and Isabella Filosa (Burke) earned the Field MVP.

The annual event is a great way to kick off the spring season and bring student-athletes together.
