HONESDALE, PA — The Hamlin Family Health Center, part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC), welcomes Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner Nancy Greer, MSN, CRNP, NP-C to its primary care practice. Greer came on as a full-time provider at the Lake Ariel/Hamlin facility in July after practicing in the upper Lackawanna County for nearly 20 years.

Greer, who says she has a “personal passion for patient care” chose to join the staff of providers at WMCHC “knowing that Wayne Memorial prioritizes high quality patient care and satisfaction.”

Greer’s cumulative experience in healthcare encompasses 46 years in total – 26 years as a registered nurse and 20 additional as a nurse practitioner. She was most recently employed as a NP-C at Horizon Medical Corporation in Archbald, PA, for seven years. Prior to that, she spent 12 years of her career at the Scranton Temple Residency which later became The Wright Center.

Greer earned both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA, with her master’s as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Geriatrics. She then completed postgraduate studies at Penn State University, University Park, PA, to become a family nurse practitioner.

With many years of experience, skill and passion for providing healthcare to those in need, Greer is well suited for the community health center model of care and intends to remain “focused on patient care with excellence, compassion and respect for those I serve” while treating both former and new patients in Hamlin.
