National Bagel Day to be celebrated

HURLEYVILLE — In a delightful collaboration, Bold Gold Media and The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce are thrilled to announce their partnership with The Sullivan County Museum in Hurleyville, for a special celebration of National Bagel Day on Monday, January 15.

This year’s festivities are dedicated to commemorating the innovation of the Original Bagel Machine, created in the 1940s by Louis Wichinsky. This collaboration brings together history, culture, and culinary delight.

Mark your calendars for the highlight of the summer - The 2024 Bagel Festival, happening on Sunday, August 11. 

This year’s festival, organized by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and Bold Gold Media, promises an enchanting experience on Bagel Boulevard, AKA Broadway in Monticello.

Starting at 9AM, the festival will feature an array of activities centered around the beloved bagel. 

Attendees can look forward to a day filled with delicious bagel varieties, captivating art displays, and lively music performances, including the RadioBOLD Music Festival stage! 

The festival is not just a celebration of the bagel but also a showcase of the vibrant community spirit and cultural richness of Sullivan County.
