NOTICE TO BIDDERS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to a resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Rockland, Sullivan County, New York, sealed bids to install and supply materials for a new pitched roof on the courthouse located at 1939 Old Rte 17, Roscoe, NY12776 will be received by the Town Board of the Town of Rockland, at the Town Hall 95 Main Street, P.O. Box 964, Livingston Manor, New York 12758, until 4:00pm, prevailing time on September 2, 2021 at which time they will be publicly opened and read at the Town Board meeting to be held at the Town Hall, 95 Main St., at 7:00pm on September 2, 2021.

Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder and the notation "Court House Roof".

The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to re-advertise for new bids in its sole discretion.

The design will consist of manufactured trusses (with engineering drawings). Connecting the trusses will be purlins with metal roofing 26 Gauge. The existing masonry chimney which is not being used will be removed below the new roof line. The septic vents will extended and brought to the rear side wall of the cap as to prevent any roof penetrations. The new roof will have minimum of 1 foot overhang around the entire building. No insulation is going to be installed. The existing roof will not be removed. Permits will be responsibility of the town / customer. Access to property on east side of building (for man lift) will need to be secured by the town in writing prior to any work being done. Overhangs will have vented vinyl soffit and aluminum fascia. Ends will be capped with Zip systems sheeting and vinyl siding. Colors of roofing and vinyl will be selected by town and stated in writing prior to start of work. For this scope of work you are looking at any changes or additional requests will be added costs and required to be in writing by both the customer and contractor. If this quote is acceptable and approved a single point of contact will be required and a contract will be drawn up. All work must be performed at prevailing wage rate, and copy of certified payroll and workers compensation, insurance and liability insurance.
