MONTICELLO – Yesterday morning a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on 17B near the entrance to the horse stables at the Monticello Raceway.
The Village of Monticello Police Department was the primary responding agency on site. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were accompanying them.
It was reported by village police that the struck pedestrian, who was not named in the report, remained aware and conscious following the incident, and that they were able to communicate with emergency personnel. The vehicle that struck the victim, whose operator was not named in the report, was reported to be in a still-rideable condition.
Other details of the incident are still pending as of presstime, Monday, Jan. 22.
