MONTICELLO — As part of gearing up for the holidays, Troop 101 out of Rock Hill once again completed their food drive in support of the 1st Way Life Center in Monticello.
The troop gathered enough to prepare meals for at least 10 families in the area, with about 35 children split between them.
“The food that the Boy Scouts collected is filling our food pantry not only for Thanksgiving, but for every other meal, so that people can come and get the needed food,” said Annette Rein, director of the center.
“It was wonderful to see Troop 101’s enthusiasm and also the practicality of food that would be easily accessed by people that are living in the hotels.”
