SULLIVAN COUNTY –– In the month of October, Rotarians across the country have been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association, and participating in Walk to End Alzheimer’s events, in honor of friends and loved ones.

Rotarians raised a total of $291,576 as of presstime.

Locally, both the Monticello and Liberty Rotary Clubs had teams contributing to the effort.

Last weekend, members of the Monticello Rotary Club, who raised over $2,700, and the Livingston Manor Rotary Club walked in the name of loved ones at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. 

Members of the Liberty Rotary Club, who raised approximately $1,100, participated in the Sullivan/Orange Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Benedict Farm Park in Montgomery.
