NEWBURGH — Dust off your running shoes! Safe Harbors of the Hudson is excited to announce that after 2 years of virtual running, we are now back LIVE for our Off-Broadway 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

This family-friendly event will start at Safe Harbors of the Hudson, 111 Broadway, Newburgh, NY, and will feature a scenic course through the historic City of Newburgh. All proceeds from the event will go to support the services provided by Safe Harbors of the Hudson and its mission of transforming lives and building community through housing and the arts.

“I am thrilled to see the community come together to support our cause through this 5K race. Not only does the event promote healthy living, but it also raises crucial funds that allow us to continue our important work in the City of Newburgh,” stated Executive Director, Lisa Silverstone. “We are grateful for the participants, sponsors, and volunteers who make this event possible, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their support.”

Participants can register for the event online at www.safe-harbors.org. Registration includes a t-shirt for the first 200 registrants. The time-chipped event will also feature a post-race celebration with food, music, raffles, and more!

The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Registration is now open; the early entry fee, available through Thursday, May 18 is $30 for adults and $40 on the event day. Registration for students in grades K-8 is free, $15 for students in grades 9-12.
