CALLICOON — The Callicoon silos, an iconic landmark located on lower Main Street, are in danger of standing no more unless they receive urgent restoration. To address this, the ENGN Civic Creative Center is hosting a fundraising event to help save the silos.
The event, a combination brunch, raffles and a silent auction, will take place on Sunday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Callicoon Brewery.
Tickets for the event are available in multiple options to accommodate various budgets. The standard ticket, priced at $50, includes a full brunch, coffee or tea and one drink. For those looking to support others in the community, the “Pay It Forward” ticket also costs $50 and allows for the purchase of an additional ticket to help someone attend. For those who may not be able to commit to a larger ticket purchase, the “Equitable Ticket” offers a flexible option with a $1 reservation fee, allowing attendees to contribute any additional amount at the event.
ENGN encourages local residents and businesses to further support the cause by donating unique items, artworks or experiences for the raffle or silent auction. With the goal of reaching 40 pre-event ticket commitments, attendees are urged to purchase tickets early to secure their spot at the event.
“With Callicoon Brewery generously donating the venue, food, and staff, this fundraiser is all about locals coming together to protect a vital piece of the town’s history,” explained Isaac Diebold of ENGN. “Every ticket purchased and every bid placed brings us closer to ensuring the silos remain a landmark for future generations.”
