Mike Scagnelli took this 19-lb gobbler on Opening Day . It had a 10-inch beard and one and two-eighth-inch spurs. He took it from 30 yards out with a 12 gauge, 3.5-inch shot. What fun is hunting if your family can't get in on the fun? Mike's grandson Michael Joseph Scagnelli took this 20-lb bird with a 9.5-inch beard and one and two eighth-inch spurs from 10 yards out using a 20 gauge. Then, this past weekend, Angelina Scagnelli, of Goshen, took this bird in Sullivan County. The six-inch bearded hen weighed 14-lbs. She used a 20 gauge shotgun and took it from 30 yards away.
