Eldred — The Sullivan County Democratic Committee will hold its “Jeffersonian” on Sunday, October 26 at 11 am at The Eldred Preserve with Keynote Speaker, New York State Budget Director Blake Washington.

Tickets are priced at $100 each. To reserve your ticket(s), call 845-798-1770 or email scdemocraticcommittee@gmail.com.

“We are delighted that Blake is coming home to serve as our Keynote. He serves in an integral role in the fiduciary planning of New York State for Governor Hochul. To have one of our own, who understands the needs of our community, while being qualified for and committed to the work, makes us proud,” said Steve Vegliante, Sullivan County Democratic Committee Chair.

Blake was appointed by Governor Kathy Hochul in 2023 as Budget Director for the State of New York. The Monticello native is responsible for the development and management of New York’s $240 billion budget and leads a team of public servants to administer the fiscal duties of the state, including economic and revenue forecasting, tax policy, fiscal planning, capital financing and management of the State’s debt portfolio.

In addition, Assem-blywoman Paula Elaine Kay and Congressman Josh Riley will address what is sure to be a sold-out house.

Sullivan County natives Judge Will T. Little, Candi-date for New York State Supreme Court Judge, and Kathleen Lara, Sullivan County Treasurer Candidate will round out this impressive lineup and group of outstanding leaders!

As always, town and local officials will be in attendance just as the event by the same name was held by our Founding Father Thomas Jefferson.

All are welcome to this historic based event to enjoy delicious food, engage in conversation, and hear about the happenings of the day.
