Just like that, we are close to the end of the first half of the calendar year. Yep, it’s the last full week of June – soon to be July. Which makes you stop and ask the question, “where has the time gone?”
It is true that they say time flies much faster when you are older. Most who pick up this publication understand this on a personal level to be factual. Time really does fly, and not just when you are having fun. But even if you are not having fun, we ask you to take this second to pick your head up from this page and look around you for just one extra second.
That, our dear readers, is life in motion. Yes it is the end of June, and yes time is moving quickly, but that doesn’t lessen the ability to appreciate the moments of life that are so meaningful. Take that extra long sip of your coffee, hum your favorite tune when the music calls to you, call that person you’ve been meaning to reach out to, and follow up with everything else on your to do list.
Also, don’t forget to take time out to attend the graduation of your friends son or daughter. Make plans for July 4 weekend or even plan a getaway.
Time is of the essence, and we never know how much time we have left anyway. Today is June, tomorrow is December and then before you know it, it is 2026 and you look back at the summer of ‘25 like it was a distant dream. Grab onto this dream, right here and right now, and live it!
Because at the end of the day, you only get one summer of ‘25.
Today is Primary Day
If you have been reading our pages during the past month, you know that today, Tuesday, June 24, is Primary Election Day. Every registered Republican can go to the polls today – if you haven’t already voted – and cast their ballot for who they want to be the next Sullivan County Sheriff.
There are also many other primaries across the county, both Democratic and Republican.
If you have any questions on where to vote you can visit sullivanny.gov and go to Departments and then Board of Elections. It will tell if you are voting and where.
Please get out and vote today! And thank you to all the candidates who are giving us a choice at the polls.
