So many star athletes

There’s a lot going on within our eight school districts across the county, as students from all grades and interests partake in after-school extracurriculars. A lot of those definitely include activities like live performance, the arts and music, but one thing is for certain for our thousands of students – they love sports.

Across all of the schools, hundreds of students have a myriad of options to choose from that set them up for recreational success. Football, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, soccer, tennis, track and field, gymnastics and cross country are just a few of the examples of what opportunities are offered to our children, and we are proud that they opt in to play.

Don’t believe in just how much they love their sports? Just check out our most recent Winter Sports Guide in today’s issue! Hundreds of student athletes are prepping for their upcoming seasons, and we wish them all the best of luck. Best of all, athletics give our student-athletes the release they need to keep their bodies fit and their minds sharp. We would like to thank all the people who make this possible, from the coaches, to the parents, referees and school staff.

Keep in mind, these winter activities are only 1/3 of the seasonal sports offered throughout the school year. Rosters for teams for all sorts of recreational activities are filled in both fall and spring as well. It just goes to prove that our schools have built a culture of greatness, and a lot of it begins out on the field of athletics. Keep up the great job!
