FALLSBURG – Student-athletes around Sullivan County are closing out the 2022-23 school year, and with that comes recognition for their athletic achievements. Fallsburg honored all three sports seasons last week with an awards night, recognizing the various Comets’ teams and their standout athletes.
In the fall, there were seven varsity teams that were recognized, including boys and girls soccer, cheerleading, boys and girls cross country, football and volleyball.
Seven winter teams included boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, boys and girls indoor track, and boys and girls wrestling.
In the spring, baseball, softball, boys and girls golf and boys and girls track student-athletes received recognition after their recently concluded season.
For the seniors, this night was a way to celebrate their years of athletic achievement before their upcoming graduation, and for underclassmen it sets a high bar for the future of Fallsburg athletics.
