HIGHLAND — The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter’s 14th Annual Subzero Heroes fundraiser will be held at Berean Lake in Highland on Saturday, February 24. This lively event features people jumping into the lake to raise funds to fight Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

“We look forward to this event every year. Our Heroes and Sidekicks bring joy–and some courage–to Berean Lake in support of our mission to end Alzheimer’s,” said David Sobel, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter. “I can’t wait to join our Hudson Valley community and take the plunge in Highland.”

You can register at subzerheroes.org as a Hero, to take the icy plunge, or as a Sidekick, to support a Hero and help fundraise. Everyone is encouraged to wear fun costumes and join the costume contest. There will be safety personnel on site and in the water, and plenty of hot cocoa, soup and warming facilities.
