LIVINGSTON MANOR — The Sullivan County Long Beards (SCLB) annual Thanksgiving turkey give away took place on Friday, November 17 at 11 a.m. at Peck’s Market in Livingston Manor.
The SCLBs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation provided 130 frozen turkeys for distribution across the county. The SCLB’s are proud to be able to make this contribution to deserving residents and veterans in our community.
It is our opportunity to give back to those that support our mission and goals. Gathering in front of Peck’s Market in Livingston Manor were volunteer chapter members, representatives of many churches, fire companies, schools, rotary clubs, and the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition to pick up and distribute the turkeys.
Peck’s Market in Livingston Manor, has been a faithful supplier of our turkeys for many years and continues to be. The assistance from outside donors, the Veterans Coalition, and a generous donation from Peck’s and the program Hungerless Holidays helped make this program possible this year. Thank you all with special Thanks to manager Evan Irwin and crew.
Our prayers are with you, your family, and our country during these challenging times.
