CALLICOON — The “Nature’s Symphony” Opening Reception is a marriage of art and music, and the public is invited.
Event Coordinator Ciera Moore shared, “We’re so happy to bring together the visual beauty of plein air painting and the delightful sounds of Gary Cormier’s live instrumental music.”
At a community painting party in Callicoon on May 4 artists from around the region captured the charm of Callicoon: paintings from and of the Bridge to Damascus, as well as artwork featuring Callicoon’s historic buildings, silos, and streetscapes.
“Nature’s Symphony” will showcase an exquisite collection of plein air paintings created by some of the most talented artists in the region. To compliment the art on display, acclaimed musician Gary Cormier will provide live musical entertainment throughout the evening.
This “feast for the senses” takes place on June 22, from Noon- 2 PM, the Callicoon Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists and learn about their creative processes, as well as enjoy complimentary refreshments.
