ROSCOE — The Party Farm, a boutique recording studio in the Catskills, is now accepting submissions for its second annual Songwriting Contest. The contest is free to enter, and the winner will be awarded a free recording session at the Party Farm to create a professional recording of their winning song, produced, mixed and mastered by Terry Brennan, the Party Farm’s master engineer/producer. The contest winner and their song will also be featured on the Party Farm website and social media channels.

“We were blown away by the submissions we received for the 2023 Songwriting Contest, and we can’t wait to listen to this year’s contest entries,” said Terry. “There are so many wonderfully talented local musicians, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support and promote Catskills artists while helping to grow a musical community at the Party Farm.”

The winner of the 2023 Songwriting Contest was local singer/songwriter Calla Sun (Callison Stratton) with her original song “Cheshire Cat,” (available on all streaming platforms). When asked about her experience recording at the Party Farm, Callison said, “Terry is an incredible producer: encouraging, professional, and he was able to pull out some of my best performances…he really listened to me and was able to bring my vision to life and then some.”
