TRAVEL ADVISORY CALLICOON BRIDGE (INTERSTATE BRIDGE #7) SCHEDULED TO CLOSE FOR 24 HOURS ON THURSDAY, JULY 31

Posted
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the Callicoon Bridge – also known as Interstate Bridge #7 – which spans the Delaware River and links Bridge Street in the Hamlet of Callicoon, Sullivan County, with State Route 1016 in Damascus Township, PA will be closed to all traffic for 24 hours starting at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, to accommodate a concrete pour.
The closure is dependent on weather and resources. A backup date of Monday, August 4 has been selected.
During the 24-hour closure, flaggers will be at either end of the bridge to allow emergency vehicles to pass through, if necessary.  Pedestrians and bicyclists will also have access to the bridge during the closure.
